Unbelievable! Read what Sharia court judge did to married woman

– A sharia court judge allegedly lured a married woman to a hotel

– He was alleged to have attempted the woman

– He was arrested by the police and arraigned at an upper Sharia court

In what might be perceived as an incredible case, a Sharia court judge, Haruna Aliyu was arrested by the police for allegedly attempting to defile a married woman.

Vanguard reports that the Islamic judge from Basawa, Zaria in Kaduna was arraigned before an upper sharia court located in GRA by the police on a one-count charge of attempt to commit rape.

Sgt. Ibrahim Hussaini who is the prosecutor explained to the court that Aliyu was arrested on Monday, May 16 at 7pm.

Fatima Alhassan who is a house wife was lured to a hotel by the suspect on Samaru road in Zaria with the intention of committing adultery.

The prosecutor said the offence is punishable under Sections 226 and 116 of the Penal Code Law.

He said security agents got wind of the situation when a lawyer, Aminu Adamu-Mohammed of Waff Road in Sabongari, reported the case through a phone call to Sabongari divisional police headquarters.

The Sharia court judge however denied the wrongdoing and pleaded not guilty to the offence. Mr M. G. Sadiq who is his counsel requested the court to grant his client bail.

The Judge, Mustapha Umar granted the accused bail in the sum of N50, 000 with two sureties in like sum.

He also ordered that one of the sureties must be a civil servant or a village Head. Umar adjourned the case to June 6, for further hearing.

In a related incidence, police arrested Pastor Isaiah Ojo, the founder and general overseer of Day Spring Family Chapel, Egbeda area, Ibadan, Oyo state capital.
