The three men are one Micheal Obi, Ahmed Ogunfowoke and Tijani Yakubu, whose residential addresses were not give.

The men were arraigned on Thursday, May 12 before an Ikeja Magistrate’s Court for allegedly constituting themselves into an unauthorised group, thereby causing the said riot on March 15 of this year at about 7:00 pm on Lagos Island.

Apart from not obeying an officer of the law named Corporal, Obi Chinedu., the three men were reported to have been going around town with dangerous weapons, thereby serving as a menace and threat to the peace and tranquility in the community.

Their charges bordered on the indiscriminate burning of a motorcycle estimated at N120,000 and also burning a used wagon car, which was reported to have been used to crash the wall of the Mosque, thereby damaging it.

All the three men pleaded guilty and were granted bail in the sum of N200,000 by the Magistrate, Mrs Aje Afunwa, who also adjourned their case till sometime in June, 2016 for further hearing.

A few days ago while some Muslim faithfuls were praying inside a Mosque, a suicide bomber suspected to be Boko Haram member blew himself up near a mosque in Sulimanti ward of Maiduguri, the Borno state capital.

The Mosque is a sacred religious place where Muslims gather in congregation to observe their five daily prayers, listen to sermons and lectures, as well as do all things that are pleasing to Allah and within the ambits of the Islamic Sharia law.
