Mrs Buhari hopeful of other chibok girls’ rescue


By Levinus NwabughioguABUJA – Following the rescue of Amina Ali, one of the abducted 219 Chibok girls from Sambisa forest, wife of the President, Mrs Aisha Muhammadu Buhari has expressed optimism that the rest of the girls would also be found.

Mrs Buhari stated this when she warmly received Amina who had been made a mother by her abductee with a four months old baby safiya at the presidential villa, Abuja.

Amina was taken to the villa in company of her mother.

Speaking at during the reception, Mrs. Buhari said: “the freedom of Amina further reinforced our hope and conviction that God will make the effort of Mr President a success in the complete recovery of the abductees “.

The Wife of the President in an emotion laden tone appealed to all those in the forest to make themselves available for reintegration into the society “iam appealing to all of you there to show up because we love you ” .

Mrs Buhari advised the young Amina to be strong and prayerful while her parents and Nigerians commit the entire situation in the hands of God for His intervention.

A statement by her media aide, Zakari Nadabo stated that Borno state governor Kashim Shettima who was present at the event thanked Mrs. Buhari for her motherly role and concern to the plight of the parents and support to the internally displaced persons.
