ABUJA—Erstwhile Senior Special Assistant to former President Goodluck Jonathan, Dr. Doyin Okupe, yesterday, narrated before the Federal High Court sitting in Abuja, circumstances that necessitated the N400million that the Office of the National Security Adviser, ONSA, allegedly released to the National Publicity Secretary of Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Chief Olisa Metuh, in 2014.

File—Publicity Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Chief Olisa Metuh, signing a document at the Federal High Court, Abuja.

Okupe, who testified before trial Justice Okon Abang, insisted that it was former President Jonathan that okayed the transfer of the fund into the bank account of Metuh’s company, Destra Investment Limited.

He, however, told the court that the N400m was part of about N21billion generated by the PDP, prior to the 2015 general elections.
