At last! Here is what House of Assembly will do for late Rashidi Yekini

– Yekeni is a native of lra in Oyun Local Government area of Kwara

The Kwara State House of Assembly has urged the state government to immortalise former Super Eagles striker Rasheed Yekini.

House leader Hassan Oyeleke urged he government to make sure Yekini never goes to the abyss and the house later made the call.

In accordance, all the members of the House unanimously supported the move to make the socer great immortalised.

Yekini scored 37 goals for Nigeria in 58 appearances and famously scored Nigeria’s first goal in a World up in the tournament held in The USA in 1994.

Yekini, a native of lra in Oyun Local Government area of Kwara, died in May 2012 at the age of 48.
